About MAZATLÁN

Located in the Mexican state of Sinaloa. The city of Mazatlán serves as the municipal seat for the surrounding municipio, known as the Mazatlán Municipality, and is the second largest city in the state, with a population of 438,434.

Mazatlán is a major sporting centre of Mexico, with important sporting activities such as the marathons and triathlons, in which not only local but also foreign athletes participate in. Other sports which are very much popular in the city, are baseball, basketball, and football, with modern sporting venues hosting professional sports teams in each.
