ISF U15 World School Sport Games : The shattering entry of the athletes !

On the second day of competitions, athletes from 13 sports took to the floor. The first events of Basketball 3×3, football, judo, taekwondo, and karate were live-streamed on digital platforms and followed by a great audience. We also followed exciting competitions in pools, courts and fields all over the city of Belgrade.

CHESS :

Chess tournament also had its pleasant beginning, as so many talented players were able to demonstrate their outstanding skills. Additionally, the President of Serbia Chess Federation Mr. Dragan Lazic visited the tourney’s opening ceremony. BADMINTON :

The first day of badminton tournament has seen many duels between Ukraine, Uganda, Slovakia, Serbia, and UAE.

TABLE TENNIS :

As the ISF President of table tennis, Mr. Pieter Shippers said: «Table tennis is a complete sport, it is at the same time a physical sport but also a mental sport», our young athletes have proven the statement by demonstrating exciting performances today.

TAEKWONDO :

Diversity for the medal winners was obvious today in the Taekwondo discipline. Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Russia and Serbia all have gold medals around their necks. If you want to know who is silver, bronze etc., check the link:

KARATE : 

Boys and girls of Serbia did an unbelievable job today by collecting 23 medals including 5 golds in 8 different categories. Azerbaijan and Ukraine are slowly following with 3 medals. Team USA finished Day 2 with 2 medals.

FOOTBALL :

Our young football athletes played sensational games and have had a lot of fun under a pleasant sun on the field. 

UKRAINE 4 – 0 FRANCE (girls)

PERU 0 – 9 UKRAINE (1) (boys)

FRANCE 0 – 3 BRAZIL (girls) 

UKRAINE (2) 7 – 0 SERBIA (boys)

BASKETBALL 3×3 :

France, Serbia, India, Uganda and Ukraine had a blast today on the court. Serbia has been able to manage to win more games than others, but the high level of competition surely did not disappoint. More games will be played tomorrow.

BASKETBALL

Four firey games today took place in the city of Belgrade:

UKRAINE 83 – 52 CROATIA (boys)

CROATIA 40 – 35 CROATIA (girls)

NORTH MACEDONIA 33 – 68 SERBIA (boys)

MONTENEGRO 29 – 60 UKRAINE (girls) 

VOLLEYBALL :

Being the only athletes, whose competition started yesterday, our young volleyball players With a good night of sleep the young volleyball players once again showed their high-level skills on the court. The results of the matches are:

CROATIA 2 – 1 MONTENEGRO (girls)

SERBIA 2 – 0 CROATIA (boys)

UKRAINE 2 – 0 REPUBLIKA SRPSKA (girls)

UKRAINE 2 – 1 BULGARIA (boys)

SWIMMING :

Swimming also found its place on the schedule of the Day 2 competition as we saw many amazing achievements from these young talented swimmers.

After the competition, the athletes were not done with their day yet. The Fun & Skills Zone opened its gates to implement the educational concept in order to raise awareness among the athletes about some important topics such as equality of gender, Olympic values and fair play. They also were able to participate in traditional games like race on stilts and race in sacks, which brought a lot of fun. It was also an opportunity to socialize and get to know each other.
